At CertCop Technologies, we are committed to ensuring that certified professionals maintain current, relevant, and industry-aligned knowledge in rapidly evolving fields such as Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Biometrics, Cloud Security, Digital Forensics, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and emerging technologies.

To preserve the integrity, credibility, and professional value of CertCop and Biocertification.com certifications, all certifications are valid for a period of three (3) years from the certification issue date.

As technology, cybersecurity threats, compliance requirements, and industry best practices continue to evolve, certified professionals are required to renew their certification before the expiration date to maintain active certification status and demonstrate continued professional competency. 

Why Certification Renewal Matters

Certification renewal ensures that certified professionals remain current with:

• Evolving Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Biometrics technologies
• Emerging threats, attack methodologies, and defense strategies
• Updated frameworks, regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards

Renewing your certification demonstrates an ongoing commitment to professional excellence, technical competency, and continuous learning.

Certification Validity Period

All CertCop and Biocertification.com certifications remain valid for three (3) years from the date of certification issuance.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to begin the renewal process before their certification expiration date to avoid interruptions in active certification status.

If a certification expires, the credential may become inactive and the candidate may no longer represent themselves as actively certified until renewal requirements have been completed. 

Certification Renewal Options

Certified professionals may renew their certification through one of the following approved pathways:

Option 1: Retake the Current Certification Exam

Candidates may renew their certification by:

• Purchasing a new certification exam voucher
• Preparing independently through self-study, online learning, or instructor-led training
• Successfully passing the latest version of the certification exam

Upon successful completion of the examination, the certification will be renewed for an additional three (3) years from the new certification date.

This option is ideal for professionals who prefer to validate their expertise by demonstrating knowledge of current technologies, frameworks, and best practices through examination.

Option 2: Complete Approved Renewal Training (No Exam Required)

Candidates may renew their certification without retaking the exam by successfully completing an approved CertCop or Biocertification.com training program related to their certification track.

Approved renewal activities may include:

• Virtual Live Instructor-Led Training
• Self-Paced Online Certification Training
• Advanced CertCop Certification Programs
• Specialized Technical Courses in Related Domains
• Continuing Education Through Approved CertCop Training

Renewal training must align with the candidate’s certification domain or an approved related technical area.

Professionals holding Cybersecurity certifications may renew through advanced training programs in:

• Security Operations Center (SOC) Operations
• Incident Response & Threat Intelligence
• Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
• Cloud Security & Compliance

• Red Team / Blue Team Operations

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Certifications

AI-certified professionals may renew through advanced programs in:

Biometrics Certifications

Biometrics-certified professionals may renew through advanced training in:

Upon successful completion of an approved training program, the certification will automatically renew for an additional three (3) years, with no examination required.
